Environmental organic analysis

We perform analysis, evaluate the environmental effects of substances and analyse mould and volatile substances in the indoor environment

The substances we mainly work with are organic substances and metals. We investigate the spread and prevalence of different substances. With the help of various screening methods, we can find out if a particular substance is present in the environment, and by model calculations determine where it should be present and in what quantities. We also perform measurements and calculations of emissions from products and goods to determine how large their overall environmental impact is. We regularly report national data of emissions of organic substances and metals to the Swedish EPA.

In addition, we carry out a variety of analysis in many types of matrices: air, water, sediment, sludge and biota, such as birds and fish, as well as in human specimens such as blood and breast milk. The analyses are done in our own accredited laboratories and we specialise in the analysis of low concentrations. When it comes to indoor environment, we perform routine analysis of emissions of volatile compounds and look for the presence of mould and asbestos. We help, for example, claims investigators in insurance matters and in building cases to determine different types of moulds and the presence of asbestos in materials. We also test the mould growth in new materials.
